EMBO Workshop Enhancer Mechanics and Enhanceropathies – 2025

Join us for the highly anticipated third EMBO workshop on Enhancer Mechanics and Enhanceropathies! Building on the success of our previous meetings in Santander (2021) and Marseilles (2023), this event continues to explore groundbreaking advancements in our understanding of transcriptional enhancers and their critical roles in human health and disease.

The workshop will bring together leading experts focusing on the basic mechanisms of transcriptional enhancers and chromatin structure, and experts focusing on how the dysregulation of enhancer function contributes to human diseases.

Epigenetics-2025, from mechanisms to disease

This international conference will bring together leading experts to foster dynamic discussions on the latest breakthroughs in epigenetics. It will cover mechanisms of epigenetic regulation across various fields and explore how these mechanisms are deregulated in disease states. The Epigenetics-2025 conference will also provide a platform for early-career and senior scientists to collaborate, exchange ideas, and present their most recent scientific findings.

Participants: Hannah (talk), Kasia (flash talk and poster)

Hidden Cell, Dark Genome 2025

This international conference is inspired by the combined aims of the Wellcome Discovery Research Platform for Hidden Cell Biology and MRC Human Genetics Unit at the University of Edinburgh in uncovering currently hidden areas of genetics, cellular and structural biology.

It will provide a forum to present cutting-edge researchand discuss how novel approaches and methodologies will make substantial breakthroughs in these critical areas of biology. Specifically, it will focus on the following challenge areas: regulatory functions of the dark genome, Uncharted proteins and RNA complexity, atomic structures at the cellular scale, and Cellular diversity.

Organisers: Wendy Bickmore,Adele Marston, Shipra Bhatia, Owen Davies, Georg Kustatscher, Hannah Long

Participants: Hannah, Kirsty (talk), Kasia (flash talk and poster), Hannah J (flash talk and poster), Ewa (poster)
